Blue Lynx Website Design is a website design studio based in Austin, TX, built specifically for small service-based businesses.

Blue Lynx was founded by Angie Farris, who started her career as an in-house website designer at a large website design agency. From the inside, she saw how much these agencies were charging small businesses for how little work they were delivering in return. She knew she could provide a much higher quality service for much less cost to small businesses.

That's why Angie started Blue Lynx: to help small business owners who run trade and service businesses build websites that bring them customers online for much less than the typical agency prices.

We specialize in websites for all kinds of small service-based businesses: plumbers, nail salons, chiropractors, gyms, HVAC companies, you name it. These businesses all have something in common: their customers are searching online right now, comparing options, and choosing whoever looks the most trustworthy and professional online. A strong website is a must for service businesses nowadays.

I love turning ideas into reality through design. What started as a hobby turned into a career when I discovered how much I love making ideas look great and work well for customers visiting a website for the first time.

I focus on creating user interfaces that make it easy on the user. I like to make sure the people on my websites feel the ease of finding what they need. We've all visited a website where we've felt the simplicity and ease of navigation. It usually increases the trust and authority we award the brand.

I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to the small stuff, but I think that's what makes a design great. This attention to detail helps me build strong relationships with clients, as they know I'll put the same care into their project that they would themselves.

The process

How we take your business from no website (or an outdated one) to a professional online presence that brings in customers in as little as one week.

Kickoff Call

We start with a quick 30-minute call to gather everything we need: your business info, services, photos, and the layout of your website. You'll know exactly what your website will include and when it will be live before we start building.

We Build Your Website

We get to work on your website right away. Within one to two weeks, your website will be ready to view, customized with your branding, services, and story.

Final Walkthrough

Before your website goes live, we hop on one final call together to review everything. We'll walk through every page, make any text or color adjustments you'd like, and make sure you absolutely love it. Your site doesn't launch until you say it's ready.

Ongoing Hosting & Support

Once your website is up and running, we continue to host and manage it for you. If your website ever goes down, we're on it right away, and if you ever need to make a simple update, just reach out and we'll handle it.

FAQs

How long does a typical project take to complete?

Your website will be live in as little as one week and at most two weeks from our kickoff call (as long as we have all of your business information and content that will be gathered during the kickoff call). Most website design agencies take 6-8 weeks.

How much does a website cost?

$950 one time for the full website build, then $95/month (first month free) for hosting, management, and support. You’ll be grandfathered in at these prices and never charged extra, even when our prices increase.

What do I need to provide?

Just your business info: services, photos, logo if you have one, and anything you want the site to say. we'll gather it all during the initial 30-minute kickoff call.

What's included in the monthly hosting?

Hosting, security, ongoing management, and simple updates like text and color changes whenever you need them. If your website were to go down, we’ll be on it right away.

Will I own my new website?

Yes! Some businesses rent out websites, but with us, you get to keep yours. It's your website, your domain, and your content. If you ever decide to leave at any time, your website goes with you, although you’ll need to find a new website hosting service to keep it up and running online.

What if I don't like the design?

This is very unlikely to happen, since you’ll see exactly what website we’ll make for you before you purchase it. We’ll also do a full walkthrough together and make any adjustments you'd like before the website goes up online. If you still do not like your design, you won't pay any remaining balance on your pricing plan, though, since it will not be paid in full, you also forfeit ownership of your website.

Will my website show up on Google?

Every site is built with SEO foundations included: proper page structure, mobile-friendly design, fast load times, and your services and location optimized for local search. We'll also submit your site to Google so it gets indexed right away. Though we have no control over which websites Google chooses to show first over others, we certainly do what we can to get your website seen in the top search results. The more content the better for ranking, so consider a monthly blog plan if you’d like to rank higher on Google for more searches.

Can you make changes after my website launches?

Yes, simple text and color updates are included with your monthly hosting. Just call or email us and we'll take care of it, usually within a day or two.
